We are welcoming a familiar face back to our Spring Concert. Those of you who came to our 2014 Spring performance will no doubt remember the wonderful voice of Jonathan Cooke, tenor. Jonathan sang with us as we performed Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise. Jonathan is currently completing his studies at the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In his undergraduate years he was awarded the Frank Spedding Lieder Prize and was a finalist in the Governors’ Recital Prize.
Jonathan has played leading roles in Gilbert and Sullivan operettas and in West Side Story. His recent and forthcoming engagements include Tamino in The Magic Flute and the Britten Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings.
Check back again tomorrow for a final sneak peak….
