With just five days to go before our concert, it’s time for another sneak peak at one of our guest soloists.
We’re delighted to welcome Penelope Cousland, a mezzo soprano in her first year of the MMus Opera course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In 2014 she graduated with Master of Music award with distinction form the Royal Northern College of Music. Her recent operatic roles include works by Mozart, Stravinsky , Handel and Puccini.
She is also at home on the concert platform and has performed across the UK including with the National Youth Choir of Scotland and Edinburgh Festival Chorus. Forthcoming engagements include Rossini’s Petite Messe Solonenelle, and, the night before the Arbroath concert she will sing in Elijah with Cupar Choral Society.
